Denver

Mile high, mountains close, city growing

Denver, Colorado sits exactly one mile above sea level at the edge of the Great Plains, with the Rocky Mountains rising dramatically to the west. It's a city that lives outdoors — with more than 300 days of sunshine per year, a trail system that runs directly from downtown into the foothills, and world-class ski resorts within 90 minutes. But Denver's urban core has matured significantly: the RiNo (River North) arts district, a nationally recognized food and cocktail scene, and the walkable 16th Street Mall give the city substance beyond its scenery.
